Why this box
When rigid boxes are the right call
Buy rigid when the box is part of the product and gets kept: jewellery, a launch gift, premium tech. It is the only format on this site somebody might describe to a friend. Under about $15 a product it is usually money that would have done more work as a better insert and a heavier mailer.
How it is made
What happens on press
Greyboard is cut and cornered into a solid shell, then wrapped by hand in printed paper and lined. It cannot be knocked down, so it ships assembled and takes up real volume in a carton, which is why both the box and the freight sit above everything else we make.
Sizes
Will your product fit?
Three sizes that cover most orders. They are a starting point rather than a menu, because every box is cut to your own measurements, so if your product lands between two rows we make the one in between.

What we'd suggest
What subscription boxes brands usually order
One mailer size, ordered over and over, and the economics live entirely in the reorder rather than the first run. Most subscription brands settle on a single format at 500 to 1,000 and leave the artwork with us, which is why their second order is a message rather than a new brief.
Worth knowing
A mistake worth avoiding
Printing the month on the box. It turns every reorder into a reprint and it makes a leftover March box worthless in April. Keep the box evergreen, put the dated part on a card inside it, and your unit price drops the first time you order a year's worth.
What you get
Why subscription boxes brands choose these
- Rigid board wrapped in your printed design
- Magnetic close or lift off lid
- Foam, fabric or paperboard inserts to hold your product
- Foil, embossing and spot gloss for extra polish
Worth comparing before you order
Rigid Boxes are not the only format that suits subscription box brands. These are the others we would put in front of you, and we will tell you if one of them is cheaper for what you actually ship.
