Cost estimator
What will your boxes actually cost?
Most packaging sites make you fill in a form before they’ll tell you anything. Here’s a rough number up front instead. Pick a box, a size and a quantity, and you’ll see roughly where you’ll land before you talk to us.
Where these numbers come from. The estimator uses real board and print costs. If you want the full breakdown, including what actually moves the price, read the custom packaging cost guide.

ViewNot sure which one? Here they are side by side.
Most of the money wasted on a first packaging order goes on picking the wrong format, not the wrong supplier. Prices below are per box at volume, so a run of a hundred lands higher than a run of a thousand.
| Box type | What it’s for | Typical sizes | Minimum | From, at volume |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Mailer Boxes | The box people actually enjoy opening. | Anything from a small 4 by 4 by 2 inch box up to 16 by 12 by 6 inches, or a custom size made for your product. | 100 | $1.20 a box |
| Rigid Boxes | The heavy, premium box that feels like a gift. | Made to fit your product, with inserts shaped to hold it in place. | 100 | $3.50 a box |
| Kraft Boxes | Natural, recyclable and honest looking. | Available as mailers, tuck top boxes and folding cartons. | 100 | 90 cents a box |
| Folding Cartons | The classic retail box, light and shelf ready. | From tiny supplement cartons up to larger product boxes. | 100 | 45 cents a box |
| Shipping Boxes | A branded box built to survive the trip. | Any standard size, or a custom one built around your product. | 100 | 80 cents a box |
| Product Boxes | The box your product lives in on the shelf. | Built entirely around your product's measurements. | 100 | $1.00 a box |
| Pillow Boxes | A small curved box that feels like a treat. | Small formats, roughly 3 by 2 inches up to 9 by 5 inches. | 100 | 35 cents a box |
| Window Boxes | Let people see the thing they're buying. | Any carton or mailer size, with the window cut where you want it. | 100 | 70 cents a box |
| Sleeve Boxes | Two pieces, so the reveal is slower. | Made to your product, commonly 6 by 6 by 2 inches up to 12 by 9 by 4 inches. | 100 | $2.60 a box |
| Display Boxes | The box that sells from a shop counter. | Holds anywhere from 6 to 48 units, depending on your product. | 100 | $2.20 a display |
| Box Inserts | The bit that stops everything rattling. | Cut to fit whichever box you're using. | 100 | 60 cents an insert |
| Gift Boxes | Built to be handed over, not just shipped. | From small jewelry sizes up to large hamper and kit boxes. | 100 | $2.80 a box |

We’re a newer name, and we’d rather earn the order than talk you into it. So the three things most people want before they buy packaging are free here, and none of them need a sales call first.
If you want the rest of it, including what we do not do and why there are no client logos on this page, read about us.

The questions we get most
If yours isn’t here, just ask. A real person reads every message and you won’t get signed up to a mailing list for it.
How much do custom boxes cost?
It depends on the box, the board and how many you order, so rather than make you guess there’s an estimator further up this page. Put in your size and quantity and you’ll have a ballpark in a few seconds. For an exact number, ask for a quote and we’ll come back the same day.
What’s the smallest order I can place?
A hundred boxes. Plenty of suppliers start at a thousand or more, which is rough when you’re still testing a product and don’t want a garage full of packaging you might redesign next quarter.
How long does the whole thing take?
You’ll usually see a digital proof within a couple of days of sending us your logo. Once you approve it, production runs 10 to 15 days depending on the format, because a flat corrugated mailer is quicker to make than a rigid box that has to be wrapped by hand. Then a few days in transit. Every product page states the time for that format rather than an average.
I’ve never ordered packaging before. Where do I start?
Tell us what you sell and roughly how many you ship in a month. We’ll tell you which box suits it and what size to make it. That advice is free and you’re not committing to anything by asking.
Do I need to send finished artwork?
No. Send your logo in whatever file you have and we’ll build print ready artwork around it. If you already work with a designer, we’ll take their file and prep it for press instead.
Can I see the quality before I commit?
Two ways, both free. Order a sample pack and we’ll mail you real printed boxes so you can feel the board, or use the dieline tool to print your exact box at full size and fold it in paper at home.
Do you ship outside the US?
Right now we’re set up for the lower 48, and that’s where our manufacturing partners are. If you’re in Canada, the UK or the EU, email us anyway and we’ll tell you honestly whether we can help yet or whether you’re better off with someone local.
What if the boxes arrive wrong?
You sign off a digital proof before anything goes on press, so what gets printed is what you approved. If what turns up doesn’t match that proof, tell us and we’ll put it right.
How do I pay, and when?
A deposit before we start production and the balance before your boxes ship. That’s standard on custom work, because a printed box with your logo on it can’t be sold to anyone else if an order falls through. The split is written on your quote before you agree to anything.
Will the printed colour match what I see on screen?
Close, but not exactly, and anyone promising otherwise is overselling it. Your monitor emits light and a box reflects it, so they can’t match perfectly. Kraft shifts colours the most, because you’re printing onto brown rather than white. If a colour is critical to your brand, order a sample pack first and tell us the Pantone.
Do I get exactly the number of boxes I ordered?
Usually, but the printing industry works to an over or under run allowance of up to 10 percent, and we bill for what’s actually delivered. If you need a guaranteed minimum in hand for a launch, say so and we’ll order above it.
Can I reorder the same box later?
Yes, and it’s the easy one. We keep your artwork and your dieline on file, so a reorder is an email saying how many. No new setup, no re-approving a proof unless you’ve changed something.
Are you cheaper than the big packaging sites?
On small and mid sized runs, usually, because we don’t carry a factory or a sales team. On very large runs a company that owns its own press will beat us, and we’ll tell you when that’s the case rather than quote you a number you shouldn’t take. Our published prices are on the pricing page, no form required.
