Why this box
When bakery boxes are the right call
Buy a bakery box when what is inside is fragile, edible and bought on sight. It holds a decorated cake without touching the icing, and a window does more selling than any photograph you could print on a closed lid. Do not buy one if the product is shelf stable and packed in a bag first, because then you are paying for food safe board and a window around something the customer cannot see anyway, and a plain folding carton is cheaper and just as good.
How it is made
What happens on press
A folding carton, cut from food safe board and creased so it locks without glue on the inside faces, because glue near food is a question nobody wants to answer. The window is cut by the same die and patched with clear film from the inside. Cavity inserts are a second cut piece that drops in, which is why a six cupcake box costs more than a box twice its size holding nothing.
Sizes
Will your product fit?
Three sizes that cover most orders. They are a starting point rather than a menu, because every box is cut to your own measurements, so if your product lands between two rows we make the one in between.

What we'd suggest
What subscription boxes brands usually order
One mailer size, ordered over and over, and the economics live entirely in the reorder rather than the first run. Most subscription brands settle on a single format at 500 to 1,000 and leave the artwork with us, which is why their second order is a message rather than a new brief.
Worth knowing
A mistake worth avoiding
Printing the month on the box. It turns every reorder into a reprint and it makes a leftover March box worthless in April. Keep the box evergreen, put the dated part on a card inside it, and your unit price drops the first time you order a year's worth.
What you get
Why subscription boxes brands choose these
- Food safe board and food safe inks
- Window options, so the product sells itself
- Cupcake and cavity inserts cut to your tin size
- Grease resistant stocks for anything buttery
Worth comparing before you order
Bakery Boxes are not the only format that suits subscription box brands. These are the others we would put in front of you, and we will tell you if one of them is cheaper for what you actually ship.
